My name is Katie Duffy McGeehin. I studied various forms of art at East Carolina University, but concentrated in sculpture. I love working with stone, plaster and concrete. I always dance while I chisel...and play air drums with my mallet.
In recent years I have fallen in love with watercolor. A total contrast to carving stone -- watercolor is smooth and calming. What started as a way to relax and unplug has become one of my greatest passions. I have exhibited and sold my work throughout NYC, New Jersey, Connecticut, Philadelphia, and North Carolina. I love to create art and am always looking for a new challenge or adventure. I am not sure what is next for me, or where I will go. Maybe I'll see you there! If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, will answer you: I am here to live out loud.” Émile Zola |
